System 1 -- Manual DTM Testing System

Manually operated DTM test stands are simple to use and very economical. Mount it on a bench or order a convenient floor stand.

All DTM test stands apply load by movement of the crosshead using a heavy-duty worm and gear. The manually operated DTM test stand includes a front-mounted wheel for raising and lowering the crosshead.

Depending on the dimensions of the items to be tested, you may select from three available maximum daylight openings: 28.5", 38.5" and 48.5". Daylight opening does not include any grips or fixtures.

Electronic load cells for the manual DTM send a signal to either an FI-127 or an FI-90 force Indicator. Load cell capacities from 25 to 12,000 lbs are available.

System II -- Motorized DTM Test Stand

System II DTM test stands introduce motorization to the DTM series. Motorization cuts testing time and is especially useful in repetitive test situations or when government and ASTM testing requirements specify a motorized unit.

The motor driven unit uses a quiet running, synchronous belt drive with meshing teeth on both belt and pulleys. Simple exchange of pulleys produces high and low range crosshead speeds. Motor driven testing machines are available with low, medium or high speed gear ratios to suit your load and speed requirements.

Instrumentation and Controls - A Dillon System II motorized DTM test machine is easy to operate with its motor control toggle switch located on the front of the testing machine. A potentiometer controls speed.

Fit the System II DTM test stand with an electronic load cell (25 to 12,000 lb capacities) and an FI-90 or FI-127 Force Indicator.

FI-90 Indicator: front panel configurable. It features switch-selectable gross or peak hold modes and RS-232 output. Users can choose pound, kilogram or newton readout.

FI-127 Indicator : more sophisticated. It can store configuration data for up to six load cells, allowing a testing system to switch rapidly from job to job by easily changing from one loadcell to another. The FI-127 will display Peak Capture or a First Peak value. It can take a series of readings and display Average Force Over Time, or it can display Over, Under and Accept load values. The FI-127 indicator's data capture function stores a sequence of load cell data at user selectable rate between 60 times per second and one sample every 2.8 hours. The FI-127 feeds up to 4000 date points to a built-in database for print or later download.

System III Dillon DTM test stands are all-electronic models with capacities from 25 to 12,000 lbs. The Wizard Force Indicator serves as the control center for the System.

The Wizard force indicator is housed in a stainless steel enclosure. It has a front panel setup and calibration, peak hold, programmable print format and output parameters, cutoff card and RS-232.

With the System II level of Dillon Testing Machines (DTM), Dillon introduces a new feature that adds immeasurably to the flexibility of your DTM purchase. Dillon has added the E-Drawer to the Testing Machine.

The easily accessible E-Drawer contains all major electronic components and circuitry for the testing machine.

The E-Drawer gives easy access to the DTM electronics. But, the major benefit to the E-Drawer is that it removes major cost from later upgrades to your testing system. When it is time to expand your testing system, to add more automation, PC interface, statistical process control (SPC) functions, etc., you won't have to start over with a new testing machine. A quick change of the E-Drawer will allow you to add whatever features you need for expanded service from your DTM.
